Polymerized Hybrid Perovskites with Enhanced Stability, Flexibility, and Lattice Rigidity

The intrinsic soft lattice nature of organometal halide perovskites (OHPs) makes them very tolerant to defects and ideal candidates for solution-processed optoelectronic devices. However, the results in low stability towards external stresses such as heating humidity, high density phonons strong electron–phonon coupling (EPC). Here, it is demonstrated that OHPs with unsaturated 4-vinylbenzylammonium (VBA) organoammonium cations can be polymerized without damaging perovskite structure its tolerance defects. show enhanced flexibility compared regular three-dimensional two-dimensional (2D) perovskites. Furthermore, group improves rigidity substantially, resulting a reduced non-radiative recombination rate because suppressed coupling, carrier mobility phonon scattering. 2D light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) electroluminescence at room temperature, quasi-2D PeLEDs an quantum efficiency (EQE) 23.2% operation are demonstrated. work has opened new way enhancing properties OHPs.
